Time and time again I’m asked the question: Is it possible to create a 3D PDF using Advance Steel?
Absolutely, yes. See the workflow below!
Select the Application Icon and Stroll to the Export Option
You will be prompted to save the file to a desired location. The example below saves the file in the project folder of the named structure.
Once the file is saved you will see the progress bar in the lower right corner of the task bar. The View 3D DWF dialog box will be displayed in the model structure work area confirming it was published successfully.
You are prompted to view the .dwfx file.
You will see the page depicted below.
Copy the link into your browser.
You will be directed to the Autodesk Design review page. Select “Try the free online viewer.”
Select the Get started viewing button.
You will be prompted to Sign in with your Autodesk credentials.
After signing in, your 3D structure is now ready to view.
Select Open menu to have access to share.
See several options share. Select Preview this link to view the 3D structure.
An additional window tab will open, select the share button.
Copy the link and send the link to the client.
