Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Automate Dimension Lines Creation

The second session in our PowerPack for Autodesk Revit webinar series looks at the ‘Automate Dimension Lines Creation’ tool.

The Graitec Powerpack for Revit has a set of tools that speeds up dimension line generation on drawings such as commands to create a dimension line for all intersected elements from a detail line or create Spot elevations in one click.

In addition, this powerful command will automatically generate a set of chain dimensions, based on custom settings.

The tools shown in the Graitec PowerPack webinar will include:

  • Quick Dimension
  • Join Dimension
  • Level Dimension
  • Auto Dimensioning

So, if you’re an Autodesk Revit user looking to speed up dimension line generation, make sure you join this session.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Add Parameter Tools

Models in Revit hold a lot of attributed information which are held within individual objects. This can make data extraction more difficult as the information will be missing in the schedules or in the automated labels placed in the model.

The Graitec PowerPack for Revit propose tools, which enable these to be added to your model. This could include coordinates for foundations or plies, room finishes, and pipe thicknesses. All the additional information added, will be available to you through schedules and tags.

In our webinar we will be showing the ‘add parameters’ tools in action and how they are beneficial when creating a model in Revit.

The Parameter tools available include:

  • Column Height
  • Add coordinates and Level
  • Room finishes
  • Pipe thickness
  • Cable Tray

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Pipe openings

BIM coordination between MEP systems and structural objects is always a key point on building projects. The Graitec Revit PowerPack has a dedicated command to quickly generate automatic openings when MEP components intersect with structural elements. Thus, when categories such as pipes, ducts intersect beams or wall, users will be able to create either circular or rectangular openings.

The tool will also monitor any changes made to the MEP model.

If you’re an MEP Engineer, join us for our webinar and find out how the pipe openings tool in the Graitec PowerPack could be beneficial to you.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Duplicate Sheets and Align Views

Revit has a very simple approach to making nice drawings. A simple drag and drop operation from the browser applies a view to a sheet. The Graitec Powerpack offers some additional tools to help you to align these views on a sheet to make a clearer drawing.

In this webinar we will be going over the unique command in the PowerPack for Revit that is dedicated to duplicating sheets in a simple way, duplicating in the same time legends, title blocks etc.

We will finish with a quick look at some of other great tools in the Graitec Powerpack.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Family Manager

During this webinar we will be looking at the Family manager command that’s included within the Revit Powerpack. This command gives the user the option to decide which families and their types are to be loaded into the project.

As this tool is browser style, it has the ability to support and add additional locations and filter through types within a family. All of which we will be demonstrating through this webinar.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Link to Excel

Possibly one of the greatest tools in the Graitec Powerpack for Revit. In this webinar, we will discuss the differences between the Standard and Professional versions of the Powerpack, with a close look at the Link to Excel tool.

Ever wished you could link the data in your Revit model to Excel, change it then bring it back into Revit? Well, now you can.

Whether you have a Revit Schedule or wish to create a custom export the link to Excel, this gives you round tripping functionality with Excel. Come and witness this powerful Graitec Powerpack feature.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Join and Unjoin Geometry

A Revit model is based on an assembly of several objects starting from one level and reaching another. This sometimes makes the management of intersection between objects complex.

The Graitec Powerpack contains tools that are designed to improve the workflows of Revit when it comes to joining geometry and switching the join order of elements.

The Join and Unjoin command will let the user join, unjoin, and switch the join order of most Revit elements. This is an automated function where the user can choose what type of element to join to another and easily switch the order of the join condition. The tool applies to Revit Architecture, MEP, and Structures.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Create Revit Families with CAD Files

Creating a full BIM Model in Revit requires a high number of families and Revit enables us to create them through existing templates. Sometimes, the 3D geometry creation of the families is faster by importing the geometry from external CAD software.

The Graitec Powerpack contains a useful tool that quickly converts imported native CAD geometry into a Revit family. This family can then be updated with any changes made on the original CAD file.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Element Lookup

Design projects in Revit contain multiple elements which often embed a long list of several parameters. This could make more complex the localization of a specific element with particular property or more difficult to control a set of objects assigned with specific parameter.

PowerPack for Revit offers the possibility to perform a thorough and instant search inside the Revit project and find specific elements, using complex filters and various criteria which ensures a more streamlined way of working.

This webinar will show the additional benefits of the Element Lookup command, which effectively reduces the time spent finding elements in the traditional way, whether directly on the drawing or inside families of items.

Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Revit - Navisworks Clash Tool

In this webinar, we will be looking at the Navisworks Clash Tool and discussing the differences between the Standard and Professional versions of the Powerpack.

If you work in a collaborative environment or project, you’ll know the value of clash detection in Navisworks. The results can sometimes be unclear as to where the clash is in your Revit model.

The Navisworks Clash tool allows us to clearly pinpoint where the clashes exist in our Revit model by directly reading the XML output from Navisworks.
